Baptism Prep (age 4 years through 1st grade)
A child seeking Baptism meets with the Religious Ed Director for instruction in preparation for receiving this sacrament. The number of meetings is determined by the director on an individual basis. The director or parent notifies the Parish Office when a child is ready to set a date for Baptism. The parents are required to attend the parent baptismal class.

Children’s Sunday School
Sunday mornings during the school year at 9:00-10:00 am and 10:45-11:45 am for ages 3 years old (August 1st) through 6th grade. Bilingual catechists are provided when needed for our students who need assistance. Each class has two catechists and the younger classes also have youth assistants. Children’s Liturgy of the Word
This program is available to children ages 4 through 2nd grade to reflect on the Sunday Gospel readings appropriate to their religious development during Sunday 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 pm Masses. Includes small group activities facilitated by parents of participants. Contact: Religious Education office, 253-2193 opt.4.

Ninos entre 2 grado y 10 grado (Rite de Inciciacion de Cristiano para los Ninos)
Ellos deben cumplir un ano de programa de catequesis Antes de recibir el bautismo. Las sesiones empiezan en Noviembre y cumplen a la Vigilia de Pascua. Depues Pascua, los y nino reunen por algunas sesiones mas para charlar sobre los sacramentos y su compromiso a la Iglesa Catolica. Contacto: Maria Pimentel-Gannon, 298-3033

Order of Christian Initiation for Chidren(OCIC)
Children 2nd through 9th grades who need the sacraments of initiation , Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation, are invited to be part of this process, with their families. They meet October through Easter, Sunday Afternoon, 4:45-5:45 p.m. Contact Tim Bush 228-1266.

Eucharist (first): 2nd grade
Instruction/preparation for children is given by the Religious Ed Director/Catechists at the 2nd grade level or above either during Sunday school or during school hours for children attending St. Monica School. First Communion Liturgy is celebrated on the last Saturday in April. Arrangements for preparation at age level other than the above can be made with the Director of Religious Education.

Reconciliation (first):
Instruction/preparation for children is given by the Religious Ed Director/Catechists at the 2nd grade level during Sunday school or during school hours for children attending St. Monica School. First Reconciliation service is usually in the spring. Arrangements for preparation at age levels other than the above can be made with the Religious Education Director.

Vacation Bible School
Bible-time experiences for ages 4 through 4th grade with song, activities, drama, crafts, games and snacks. Week-long program daily from 9 am – noon in June. Contact: Mary Jo Thomas-Day, 253-2193, opt 4.
