A Word About Commissions

The term "Commission" refers to how our parish is structured - its organization chart if you will.  It is a "bottom up" management structure.  Every ministry and organization in the parish is assigned to one of five commissions - Spiritual Life, School, Faith Formation, Administration or Community Life.  Each commission has a chair and elects a member to represent their group of ministries on the Parish pastoral Council.  Each commission is also assigned a staff representative to the parish Council.

The purpose of this structure is to improve communication among ministries and facilitate interaction of staff members with parishioners.  It is designed to allow many decisions to be made below the level of pastor or pastoral Council.   This allows our priests to devote more time to the spiritual needs of the parish.
